Clare Engel

5th Dan

Clare Engel Sensei started training in 1994 with Mike MacGregor Sensei and has been teaching Aikido since 2001, primarily at Erindale Dojo in the ACT. Her current focus is on the improvement of body alignment and posture coupled with technical accuracy, and the use of weapons training. She is researching and exploring concepts of Ma ai, De ai and Zanshin and the application of these in the development of powerful and effective training.
Clare supports and promotes women in martial arts and has a particular interest in the female advantage in Aikido.
